Average Satisfaction Rating
Average Satisfaction Rating2
Safeguarding Week took place from 4-8 April with 4 bitesize workshops each day covering a variety of topics. The workshops were well attended from all agencies across the partnership. We had 211 evaluations returned which contained very positive responses and analysis on the sessions, in terms of both impact on practice and the satisfaction on what was delivered.

The Aims of Ofsted

Ofsted
Ofsted has released a five-year strategy detailing its goals to raise standards in education and children’s social care. The strategy sets out the introduction of a more risk-based and proportionate approach to regulation and inspection to help keep children safer. The report highlights a number of areas of concern, including: online harm, the prevalence of peer-on-peer sexual harassment and unregistered settings where children may be cared for in unsafe environments. Ofsted aim to inform safeguarding practices through the measures outlined in the strategy, and identify systemic safeguarding issues.

On 28 March 2022, Ofsted, CQC and HMICFRS have announced the restart of their programme of joint targeted area inspections (JTAIs).

From April 2022, the inspectorates will carry out 2 types of JTAI:
New guidance will be published each year when the focus of future thematic JTAI's is announced.

These new frameworks build on the joint inspection methodology used in Solihull in January 2022, and are more focused to allow the inspectorates to deliver inspections with less burden on local safeguarding partnerships.
